First session of SCC

right, so today was my first session at song composing club. i was kinda excited at the first place. because it was something new to me, i dont know anyone from the club except for lee and i dont know what will we be doing for the session. i found out from one of the seniors that we are gonna watch performances by our own members today. they carry out this every month, where members will compose their own song, submit and perform to the rest. if i remembered correctly, there were 8 performances, 5 of which was chinese songs and the rest was english. each and every one of us were given a grading sheet with rating from 1-10 and we gotta grade them according to the lyrics, melody, arrangement and singing. of all the performances, i liked the first one. first of all, its in english and secondly, its rock, my genre. singing wasnt top notch but still ok, much better than me.i like the arrangement, the lyrics were nice, song was nice, overall a great performance. the rest of the performances wasn't too bad either. what's best is that all these songs are original, composed by themselves which i think it's very impressive. i do hope so by the end of poly, probably i would have composed my own songs and even performed :) i know that day will come.

assignments,assignments and more assignments.

To think that e-learning week is great, because we don't have to go to school, well it's absolutely wrong. for the past few days, i've been busy doing all these assignments and it's killing me. if i was given a choice, i would definitely chose to have lessons instead of e-learning. tomorrow is the dateline for all the assignments and i'm only left with 1 more to go, which is a pratical and i dont know how to do. have to ask my classmates tomorrow at school.

oh ya, yesterday went back to school for 2 interviews and also doing my assignments with my friends. first interview was the ambassadors interview which i've signed up for.i thought the interview went well, the interviewer was a friendly guy,in his third year of poly already.he asked a lot of questions like why i intend to join the ambassadors, what do i know about ambassadors, what ccas i have now and during secondary school, and plenty more. the results will only be out next monday and if i happen to be in, there will still be another interview to go through which will be done by the Ex-com of the club.well, hope i get in then :)

The second interview was the song composing club. since i was so into guitar, i thought maybe i could learn more through this club. lee signed up with me as well. both of us were interviewed at the same time. and it was done by a whole group of people from the club. they asked quite a number of questions like what instruments do we play. what genre you liked and stuffs like that.and then lastly, they tell us to sing at least a few sentences.im like wtf! sing? in front of them?when my singing suck so badly. but lee was chosen to start first.he took so so long before he started singing a few lines. he sang an jing. then it was my turn, i took the guitar, started playing chasing cars. that was the easiest i could think of, and started singing, forgotten some of the lyrics but still ok. overall, it was fun lah, didn't regret joining the club.i guess will be joining them for activities every wednesday :D

labour day

wassup people~ it's labour day! everybody loves labour day, because the best thing about labour day is, people don't have to work(mostly) and we don't have to go school!!! i envy those people who are already on their way to town, to catch a movie, to meet up with friends, to stroll at the beach, to take buses aimlessly, to take the train from the east to the west, to have sex at his/her gf/bf house.WHY? because once again, im STUCK rotting at home.

I'm having this fcuking toturing stomachach since last night. I went to the toilet for approximately 7 times, lucky 7 isn't it. and my backside is like tearing apart. i never know shitting could be so such a painful experience. i was biting onto my shirt while shitting, imagine how painful was that. i don't know what the fcuk did i ate that upset my stomach. if i know what was it, i swear im not eating that for my entire life. i already tried eating this small litlle pills, its called pozaiyi, some of you might know, its for stomachachs.but it wasn't much help for me. i've also applied some kind of medicine on my stomach, you know those kind for babies whenever they have stomachach you apply this on their stomach as well?yeah i've did that and i felt worse.

i had a hard time sleeping as well. because my ass was really painful, i have to tilt myself facing either right or left. i can't lie down flat. but at least, today is slightly better already. i don't feel the pain as frequent as yesterday. but if it worsen later on, i gonna visit the doctor. but i dont know if it's open today.

sigh, what a holiday for me. how i wish i would have someone to accompany me right now. where are you, girl?

year 2, first day

before i start with my first day of year 2, let me just blog about the celebration yesterday. it was jiun hsien 18th birthday. we went to kbox at cine in the afternoon. we had hell of a great time there. louis was exceptionally high, dont know what's up on him. chin hing was sleeping almost the whole session, but when he's awake, he is freakin mad. singing like a mad guy, i mean more like shouting instead.jerome never sang a song, LIKE ALWAYS. what to do, emo shit. lee was singing like he was having a concert.and for once, jiun hsien was behaving so well througout the whole session because someone was there. well, they sounded well doing duets. and for me, i was having fun rapping all the way. i rapped well, i guess? =P

so after that, we met the rest of the maoists and also siree and zheng ying for dinner at swensons. the service was good, the manager was friendly. the meals were great. i also bought a cake at swensons as a birthday present for jiun hsien. we sang birthday song for him, he made his wish, cut the cake, and we ate the cake. we head home after a long yet fun day. everyone had fun, most importantly jiun hsien enjoyed himself.

all right, so today!first day of year 2, one word : SUCKS! why? first of all, i was late for class. because i went to take jian yong's laptop from his friend. thanks to him. late for the first lesson. i totally hate my time table.dont know how the hell they come up with such bloody shitty time table. i've got a 3hours freakin long break today after my first 2 lessons, then will be having 1 hr lecture. its really waste of my time la. i was really rotting throughout the 3 hrs break. fcuk it. imagine every monday will be like this for the next half year. and for the 1 hr lecture, it was hell boring. everyone was dozing off. well for me, i was playing BINGO with my friend. nothing to do, cant helps. and then back home straight after that. was too damn tired. yeah so that's all.

Stomp The Yard

i just realised most of the times im out is only when i go for movies. except for last saturday, went for clubbing. well, it was a wild night that's all i can say. but anyway, yeah so today went to town for a show again, Stomp The Yard. it was really a nice show i should say. looking at how they dance, and the tracks that were playing, you will somehow get into the mood to dance as well. the way they danced, unbelievable. if only i could dance like that, probably in a million years time.
Who will like this show? all those hip-hoppers, street-dancers, hip-hop music lovers, chris brown fans( though he only appeared for 10 short minutes), ne-yo fans, girls who will like to see some hunks with 6 packs. yeah i think thats all. i give it 4 bites! below is a short synopsis, read it if you're interested about this show.

Who's in It: Columbus Short, Meagan Good, Ne-Yo, Darrin Dewitt Henson, Chris Brown
The Basics: Let's say you're white, sheltered and have never seen School Daze. Then you probably don't know about "step" competitions. They're a type of dance competition that some African-American university students participate in. And according to this movie, it's a cutthroat world of brutal one-upmanship and chiropractor-employing moves that involve crashing to the floor — ribcage first — in a crumpled heap and then immediately rebounding from that death move by leaping up over people's heads, executing a triple-axle and landing on your nose. I think it's probably exactly how they say it is because I have no good reason to disbelieve them. So let's all think of it as a documentary.

What's the Deal? Even better, the movie starts with a murder. A murder that comes as the result of an underground street-dancing battle gone awry. That's how it goes down in the kill-or-be-killed world of … The Dance. You didn't know choreography could get this vicious, did you? You know you didn't. Those dance people are stone-cold gangsta. Off their own grandmas for missing a count.

Working is the No. 1 Goal of Most Actors: And for that reason, I am happy to see that Good is in this movie. If you didn't see Waist Deep or Brick, then you missed her being awesome in one bad movie from 2006 and one good movie from 2006. Here, she's playing The Girlfriend. So I hope the paycheck was nice.

Cannibalism

yes louis, i know my blog is stagnent, hasn't been bloggin. but you know, im not really a frequent blogger. just come and blog as and when i like =D. anyway, actually there are a lot of stuffs i could have blogged about, like how my chinese new year went. my trip back to my grandma house in malaysia. and other stuffs. but im just gonna skip all that and blog about today!

basically, went down to acer service centre to have my laptop fixed. my keyboard wasn't functiong.probably because water spilt into it but luckily that dude who fixed my laptop didnt found out that is was due to water spillage if not i will be charged. lucky lucky~ and after that went straight to vivo with romi and some of my classmates for a movie, HANNIBAL RISING. we couldnt make up our mind what show to watch at first. lee insisted on music and lyrics but i totally disagree. come on, five guys watching a romance show?!!you gotta be kidding. we actually wanted to try 300 but it was M18, fcuk it! just a few more months to my 18th birthday. but why cant they just look at the year we are born. we wouldn't want to take the risk so we left with Hannibal Rising and Primeval(did i spell correctly?). but you know, gong li was starring in Hannibal Rising, so yeah we went for it :P

alright, so comments for this show. i'll give it 3 bites. the whole story is about this guy(Hannibal) who took revenge for his sister who was EATEN, i say again, EAAATTEEENN by a group of soldiers during the WWII.eight years after the WWII, he had settled down in Paris with his beautiful aunt,GongLi,and studying at a medical school. Then, he began to track down the muderers of his sister one by one, killing every one of them, showing no mercy. there were quite a few really gore scenes.
Who will like this show? hmm.. i guess those who like gore movies such as SAW1,2,3 then i should very well recommend you this show. though i still think SAW is more gory. some of the methods used in this show to kill a person is pretty cool too. so probably murderers out there who wants to have a bit of creativity when you kill someone, yeah maybe this show will inspire you :D Anyway, below is a brief synopsis of this show taken from a website.

Mischa and Hannibal (Gaspard Ulliel), baby brother and sister, are inseparable; it is their love for each other that ties their bond. Their companionship is forever binding, until, with their family, while hiding from the Nazi war machine a twisted set of circumstance sets the pace for a most vicious attack on the future of one Hannibal Lecter for the sworn vengeance for the brutal killing of his baby sister. Years later, we find Hannibal, the teenager, setting up in Paris, and living with his aunt Lady Murasaki Shikibu (Li Gong) and studying at medical school here he finds his forte. Still searching for his sister's murderers, still bitter and still ever hopeful of satisfying his desire for retribution. This chance arrives, and soon we are to learn that for a pound of flesh lost a pound of flesh must be repaid. This is the horrific tale of justice and honour, a young mans growing pains that will have the guilty paying with more than just flesh and bone. This is the up and rising tale of the young Hannibal, prey you do not meet him, for meat you shall be to him. Taste his wroth.

exams over! CNY approaching!

woohoo~! exams are finally over! its time to party! no, i should go and get a job man. i need some cash at the moment. i've got plenty of things i want to buy but first of all, its gonna be my guitar. i have long long wanted to buy my bass guitar. so anyone can recommend me any jobs? i mean ANY! but not doing some shitty kind of job like cleaner and stuff like that. and also good pay please :P

anyway, i thought today's paper was all right. at first i thought it's gonna be a killing paper because i didn't study that much for this module. but well, i still manage to answer almost all the question. so i guess probably a B for me will be good. the results will only be out on...erm when ah?i think march?not sure though.

chinese new year is just a few days away. i simply can't wait for that. it's when red packets comes in. Money!Money!Money. come on, who don't like money, everyone does! but for every single years, i didn't get to use the money i received from new year. i should say im not allowed to use that money. my mum will put that amount of money into my bank, to save up for further studies. and new year is the only time when i will get to see all my relatives. some of whom i only get to see only during new year. so its sort of a heart-warming occasion whereby the whole family will get together, have a small chat with one another, exchanges oranges, distributing red packets.yeah it's nice.

tomorrow gonna be a fun day. i'll be hanging out with maoists. we'll be catching a show in the afternoon and then we'll have a "renuion dinner" after that. these guys always puts me into laughter everytime we hang out. though vulgarities are spurt everytime. and sometimes farting at public. they are a crazy bunch of dickheads. but it's fun. :D

exam! first paper

Networking Fundamentals, my first paper. it was one of the most boring modules. luckily for my electives, i wasn't admitted to this module again for next year. if not, i will be as good as dead. i won't understand a single shit, spending a semester on this module is toturing enough for me. but anyway, today's paper was all right. but im not putting high hopes on it. the most a C perhaps. but i'm pretty sure i won't fail. missed out on certain questions, which already cost me about 10 marks or so. the rest of questions were ok, i still managed to write something sensible. i guess this semester is kinda sucky for me. I'm prepared to see a lot of Ds and Cs for my results, i knew it. but i don't give a hack :P next year will be better :D

singapore roars!

Amazingly, the young lions had won the asean cup for the second time in a row!ROAR~ the match was held at bangkok, where thailand had the home advantage but singapore was leading 2-1 on the first leg. a lot of things had happen during the first leg, but that did not affect today's game. thailand was dominating the whole game, keeping possesion and were creating a lot of problems for singapore's defence. singapore didn't really played well today, the defence were poor but some showed outstanding performance, in the end they still managed to score the only goal by substitute khairul amril which helps them to win the cup. the singapore fans that turn out at the stadium was pathetic. if im not wrong, only about 50 of the fans went to support the young lions. yes, it was definitely sad to see that but who cares, singapore still wins the competition. singapore has indeed improved over the years though i don't really catch up with singapore soccer but i do watch when singapore plays for major competiong like the asean cup. will singapore wins the next asean cup to make it 3 times in a row?

gridiron gang!

im very much of a movie fan perhaps some of you might know. any movies that looks nice to me i will sure to catch it. right, so i went to watch the gridiron gang with my classmates yesterday after school. as usual, we went to westmall for the show. our usual place for movies after school. during the show, something happened. halfway through the show, the lights lit up when the show wasn't over yet. i thought probably was a mistake by the maintenance or something. then soon after, the screen went into total blank when it was at the exciting moment. everyone in the theatre was like "what the fcuk is happening". a few secondary student went to told the person in charge and we sat in the theatre for a few minutes before the movie was resume again. my advise to people out there, don't go westmall to catch mvoeis anymore.

so this show is about a Juvey detention camp officer Sean Porter (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and his friend Malcolm Moore (Xzibit) turn a group of teen felons into a football team in four weeks. Confronted with gang rivalries between his teammates, Porter teaches the former thugs self-respect and responsibility. i think this show is based on a true story. i give it a 3 out of 5 bites. rugby players will love this show.

blood diamond!

nothing much has happen lately thats why i didn't blog for the past few days. well, nothing special today either just that i went to catch blood diamond.actually we end school at 5 for today but all of decided to skip the last 2 hours lesson for the show. come on, we don't do this all the time, just feeling mischief today =P anyway, for those who have not watch blood diamond, this is what the movie is about.(took it from the main website for the blood diaomond).its quite a nice show.my rate for this show is 3.5 out of 5.

Set against the backdrop of the chaos and civil war that enveloped 1990s Sierra Leone, "Blood Diamond" is the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), an ex-mercenary from Zimbabwe, and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman. Both men are African, but their histories and their circumstances are as different as any can be until their fates become joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond, the kind of stone that can transform a life...or end it.

Solomon, who has been taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields, finds the extraordinary gem and hides it at great risk, knowing if he is discovered, he will be killed instantly. But he also knows the diamond could not only provide the means to save his wife and daughters from a life as refugees but also help rescue his son, Dia, from an even worse fate as a child soldier.

Archer, who has made his living trading diamonds for arms, learns of Solomon's hidden stone while in prison for smuggling. He knows a diamond like this is a once-in-a-lifetime find—valuable enough to be his ticket out of Africa and away from the cycle of violence and corruption in which he has been a willing player.

Enter Maddy Bowen (Jennifer Connelly), an idealistic American journalist who is in Sierra Leone to uncover the truth behind conflict diamonds, exposing the complicity of diamond industry leaders who have chosen profits over principles. Maddy seeks out Archer as a source for her article, but soon finds it is he who needs her even more.

With Maddy's help, Archer and Solomon embark on a dangerous trek through rebel territory. Archer needs Solomon to find and recover the valuable pink diamond, but Solomon seeks something far more precious...his son.

first day of school, dreams shattered

*yawns*school reopens once again.i actually likes to go school but i hates lessons.poly life is actually quite enjoyable and relax,so many hot babes for me to oogle :P(thats the main part) and spending three years in poly is really fast.right now,i still left with about a month to finish my first year of poly.for one year,we actually only attend school for roughly about 8 months because of the breaks in between.so thats why time passes kinda fast in poly.

anyway, today was supposed to have lessons from 9am-5pm. but we had a 4 damn long hours break in between because we were notified that we wouldn't be having lessons for one of the module which happens to be a 3 hours lesson today.Shiok right?yes indeed, and my classmates and i spend the time dotaing in class,i mean like always la.even when its during lesson we do that too.

so went back home straight after school, kinda tired. took a bath, ate my dinner and was supposingly watching tv but fall asleep after a while. woke up about 9 plus and then received some disappointing messages.joey,my band leader, said he is gonna work with our drummer and his ex-bandmate on writing of songs, performing and actually earn money.he is gonna work on his dream right now and we werent part of working towards his dream.he said we can still continue to learn from him and don't give up our passion on music. yes, i have never given up my passion for music and don't doubt me for my commitment if i really entitled my soul and heart into something i want to acheive badly.i may be a slow learner, but im not someone who gives up just like that.i have the same dream as joey but maybe he is a step ahead of me.but im still gonna learn from him, and hopefully in the near future, we will be performing together.i will be dreaming of that.

2007 a new year, a new start

its 2007!!! lets say goodbye to 2006.and im turning 18 this year, i simply can't wait. time passes really fast. just a blink of an eye, and im finishing my first year of poly in few months time. 2006 has been a fairly good year for me i should say. so many things have happened, so many unforgetable memories. but we still gonna move on with our lives and leave those histories behind.

so without fail, i went for the countdown for 2007 along with maoists. we went to vivocity at first for dinner, then we walked around, played pool as we were waiting for the rest to join us. by the time we left vivocity for sentosa, it was already 11pm. we decided to go to sentosa by feet as that was the fastest way. after we crossed the bridge, we took a bus from there straight to siloso beach. our blur leader, chin hong, said there were 2 countdown parties held at siloso beach. 1 was the foam party which only 18 and above could enter, and another party which does not have age limit. but all we could see was the foam party. yes, we couldn't enter so we settled down at a pub around that area. there was a live DJ too so we had no choice, ended up counting down at the pub. we were kinda disappointed because we were hoping to see some hot bikini babes and adding to our misery, we only saw some guys in their trunks. anyway, after countdown, some of us went to get some drinks, tibits and liqour to last for the night. so we had a game, i forgot what was it called but basically everyone has to draw a card and placed it on your forehead so that the rest of us can see what card you are holding. then, all of us will try or not to convince a person to changes his card. the person with the smallest card will have to bottoms up the cup of liqour. i was lucky enough i wasnt holding the smallest card for all the rounds. but in the end, all of us will have to bottoms up at least a cup of liqour mixed with some soft drinks. so ya, everyone drank up but there were liqour still left. so we shared it among ourselves and finished the bottle of liqour. chavalit drank the most, chin hong didnt drank as much but he was in a total drunk state, lesther(i don't know if i spell it correctly) didnt drank much too but he was knocked out too, yan zhi face was really really red but at least he is still sober. the rest of us were still sober too. the worst of all was chin hong. he could barely walked, and he kept looking at us and laughing away. he totally had no idea what he was doing. we tried to wash his face, hoping he will be more sober, but no, he didn't change at all. then, we decided to walk around as we didn't want to stay at the same place. so julius and chavalit was kinda supoorting chin hong, i was holding lesther because he wasn't that sober yet. chin hong could really barely walk. as we walk along the road, everyone was staring at chin hong. it was kinda embarrasing. we stopped for a while at a toilet, everybody took a leak, and once again, we washed chin hong's face, hoping he will get better yet again, it doesn't help at all. while we were about to leave the toilet, chin hong suddenly pointed to an indian guy and start laughing at him while that indian guy was peeing. chavalit immediately grabbed his hand down and brought him out of the toilet. i was laughing like hell. imagine you are peeing and someone is pointing at you while you were peeing, like how would you feel?awkward?pissed?yeah, thats how drunk he was. then we proceeded and found a beach soccer place. some malays were playing over there so we asked if we could join them and they allowed. they weren't locals because of the language they spoke, its either that they are thai or vietnamese. they were kinda kind and we had a few games with them, then they said they will lend us the ball as they were going to clean up. so it was a game among ourselves. when it comes to soccer, everyone is wide awake even for lesther and chin hong. both of them at last became sober. we played soccer for quite a while, all the way until about 5 plus going to 6. then all of us sat down on the beach, rested, chatted among ourselves and sang some songs together. after enough rest, we went to the nearby shower room and took a quick bath. the smell of the shower room was horrendous. it stinks really bad. so after shower, we took the first bus from palawan beach back to the main entrance of sentosa, then from there again we took a bus back to harbour front. louis and jerome went off first, they took cab back.the rest of us had our breakfast at a nearby hawker centre. after breakfast, we took a bus all the way back to woodlands. it was a long trip but it seems short as all of us were sound asleep the minute we board the bus.

these are the few photos we took over at sentosa though it wasn't that clear.

so i thought it was a really fun day spending with maoists on the first day of 2007, a great way to kickstart the year. anyway, i wishes everyone a great year ahead and may your new year resolutions come true :)
